Fort Morgan, Colorado – September 10, 2024 – Griffco Design/Build is proud to announce its partnership with Colorado Cold Connect, TPA Group, and Highland Cold in the groundbreaking of a cutting-edge Cold Storage Food Distribution Facility located in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Phase I of the new Greenfield facility will span an impressive 150,000 SF and is designed to accommodate a diverse range of food distribution needs. It will include 74,000 SF of freezer, 30,000 SF of cool dock space, 16,000 SF of perishable cooler and 22,000 SF of dry storage. The remaining space will accommodate office and welfare areas, shipping and receiving functions, and a separate storage building.
Strategically positioned just off Interstate 76, at the corner of East Beaver Avenue and Barlow Road, this site is located at the core of northeastern Colorado’s logistical hub. The construction and operation of this state-of-the-art facility are expected to create more than 100 job opportunities within Fort Morgan and surrounding areas. From construction jobs to long-term positions in facility management, logistics, and maintenance, this project will provide valuable employment and stimulate local economic growth.
