Project Manager

Summary

As a Project Manager at Griffco Design/Build, you will oversee and manage various construction projects from preconstruction to close-out. This role requires managing budgets, schedules, communication, and coordination to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects, while working in a collaborative in-office environment Monday through Friday when not on job sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in budgeting, schedule creation, proposal preparation, and scope development.
  • Coordinate with design teams to align scope with the budget and manage permitting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, lead meetings, and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractor buyouts, monitor progress, track costs, ensure safety compliance, and maintain project documentation.
  • Assist in developing scopes of work, contracts, and change orders.
  • Oversee punch list completion, review final documents, and manage final payments.
  • Address project risks, implement corrective actions, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and project success.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience as the lead project manager on projects that have finished on time and within budget
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
